We suggest that you go ahead and back up the database daily. We recommend this because anything can happen to the computer where the HIMS software is stored. For example, in a power surge, the computer just simply stops working. The backup is to ensure that you can download what you currently have onto a new computer. If not the system would need to be completely rebuilt which would likely take more time that you are willing to spend on rebuilding the entire database.
We also recommend that you save this to a flash drive.
- Click on files and select Backup Database
- Choose where you would like to store a backup and click save.
- Once the back up has been saved, the pop up will show it was done successfully, click OK
