The main guest on a reservation is able to share their key with additional guests through the SHARE KEY option within the OpenKey guest app. Even though this option is available, the hotel still maintains control of who can access the hotel with a mobile key. If you need to remove access from a shared or additional guest, follow these steps:
- Click on the room number to edit the mobile key session.
- Identify which additional guest you need to remove, and click the red trash can icon next to their name.
- Then click Check Out.
The additional guest has now been removed from OpenKey HOST and their mobile key expired.
Note: When an additional guest's key is deactivated, it will not deactivate the main guest key
