Depending on your property, your guests may now have the ability to access up to 4 guest rooms from a single device! If this feature interests you, please reach out to OpenKey to find out if it's available for your property. You can reach our Support team at 1.877.800.2008
Once OpenKey activates the multiple-room feature for your property, the Add Guest page in OpenKey HOST will have an additional field where the hotel can add up to 3 other rooms for the same guest.
**Please note, if the hotel has a PMS integration and a guest with more than 1 reservation is checked in with the same name and phone on each reservation, only the last reservation checked in with have mobile key access. In this scenario:
1. Open the Guest room number on the Guest page in HOST
2. Click the white pencil icon in the blue edit box on the right-hand side.
3. Add the additional rooms by typing them in the box *you can only add 3 additional rooms* click update session.
4. To see the additional rooms, click open the guest's room number and open the mobile key session.
The guest can then share the key from their mobile device with a max of 4 people.
**Please keep in mind that when a key is shared with multiple rooms, all shared keys will have access to all rooms listed on the key.
OpenKey App
If the guest has multiple rooms, the main room on the reservation will be displayed and the additional rooms will be listed once you click Additional Room Access.
To access any of the rooms listed:
- Tap on the Additional Door Access button.
- Follow the instructions on the key screen to see whether you need to hold your phone to the lock while pressing the key button within the app OR simply press the button within a few feet of the lock.
- A green checkmark will appear on the screen along with a vibration of the device indicating that the door has successfully been opened.
