Mobile keys can be expired in several ways:
- The key can automatically expire if the date/time surpasses the regular check-out time on the day of departure.
- A Hotel Team Member can manually check the guest out of OpenKey HOST at any time during their stay, expiring the mobile key.
- The guest can opt to Express Check-Out through the OpenKey app, expiring the mobile key.
- In PMS-integrated properties, if a guest was issued a mobile key through Automated Key Delivery, the mobile key will expire automatically when the guest is checked out of the PMS.
