Duplicate Card is an option to issue an additional Guest card for a specific room (the most common way to issue multiple Guest cards for the same room is on the Issue Card screen IGRMS Software ~~ How to Issue a Guest Card ).
Duplicate Card is only valid for Guest/Room cards and will not work for any other type of card. You must have the previously-issued Guest card in order to use the Duplicate Card function.
To access the Duplicate Card function, use the Read Card button at the top of the IGRMS screen.
To duplicate an existing Guest card:
- Put the first Guest card on the encoder.
- Click the Read Card button at the top of the IGRMS screen.
- A popup will display the data associated with the card on the encoder. Do not click out of the popup.
- Note - the popup automatically defaults to Erase Card, but no action will happen unless you click on a button.
- Remove the first Guest card from the encoder and put a new (blank) card on the encoder.
- Click Duplicate Card on the popup.
- The encoder will beep, and a new popup will display showing that a Guest card has been issued. This card will be a duplicate/copy of the first Guest card.
- The popup will also detail how many total Guest cards have been issued for the room.
