A Guest card automatically expires within IGRMS at the assigned check out time. If Room Status Auto-Refresh is enabled, the room will return to vacant status in IGRMS.
IGRMS Software ~~ How to Use Room Status Auto-refresh
It is also recommended to check out the guest's card within IGRMS. If Room Status Auto-Refresh isn't enabled, checking out all issued Guest cards will return a room to vacant status. Additionally, checking out a previously-issued Guest card allows that card to be reused.
Use the Read Card button at the top of the IGRMS screen to check out a Guest card that has been issued for a room.
Important! You must have the Guest card in order to perform the card check out function.
For options to block an unreturned/lost/stolen Guest card so that it cannot be used on a specific lock(s), please see IGRMS Software ~~ How to Block Cards
