You can view the history of RFID (plastic) key activity on a lock by running a lock interrogation. You will use:
- Handheld programming device and USB cord
Top = older version, bottom = most recent version. Either version will work, the functionality is the same.
- PC or laptop computer containing the Hotel Intelligent Management System software (used to issue RFID key cards)
To Interrogate RFID usage on locks by handheld device:
- Switch on the handheld device
- Click on Lock Maintenance
- Click on Unlocking Records
- Select Read Via RF
- Hold the Handheld device to the induction area for the device to read the lock
- Hold the device to the lock for approximately 20 seconds
- The successful collection ends with a Blue light
- If the device fails to collect the data, try again
- After data collection, choose PC Synchronization
- Connect the Handheld device to the USB port of the computer with a USB cord
- Click on Query and select Entries Record
- On the bottom Left Hand side of the software, click Read Entried Record
- Then Click Query (Magnifying glass)
- Entries will load
- You can then Print or Export the info
Note: A handheld device can collect 992 entries records.
